Training For Warriors 8 Week Transformation Class is filling up fast! Space is limited and we are looking for people who want to give us 8 weeks of their time for a healthier 2016. Our 8 Week Transformation class meets 3 times per week plus a bonus day on Saturday and is built with the participant in mind. I am an active 52 year old hairstylist.  I have exercised since I was a kid.  I love running, softball, swimming, biking, weight lifting, all types of exercise.  I had to slow down my life 2 ½ years ago due to cancer and go through 2 rounds of chemo and radiation.  The treatments started to rob me of my overall health mentally and physically, my strength, agility, endurance and balance.   I need something to help bring that all back to me so I decide to join the 8 week transformation of Training for Warriors.

Danielle, our trainer, started the program off at a nice pace but kept us working a little harder each time watching our form and pace with each class as we increased our ability to do whatever “surprise” she had under her sleeve.  I loved each challenge she gave the group as we all started to try harder and were motivated to silently compete against each other.  As we progressed it wasn’t easier but each time I improved I felt stronger and more “empowered”.  I actually felt my posture had improved the first week.  I started to feel myself returning back to normal besides seeing my strength and endurance improve and yes I was losing weight.

My results, I attained my main goals.  I feel great mentally and physically, more energetic and see improvement in my endurance, strength, agility, balance.  I also lost weight and an overall 1’-1’ ½ inches all around.  For a positive and challenging experience for overall health, mentally and physically I will continue Training for Warriors.  I now feel like a “True Survivor” that can conquer anything.   I am now looking do a Spartan race or Mud Run in the near future.

What’s your background?

I’m a 33 year old female, mother of 2 boys. I had lost some weight with diet and exercise prior to joining the 8 Week transformation, but for few months my weight has plateaued and I felt like I needed to change something.

What did you think of the workouts? How did they make you feel?

I was pretty fit before starting, but the way this program is set up, you can be starting out in any shape and challenge yourself!

Why did you want to make a change in your exercise routine?

After a long time of doing the same thing over and over it got boring, and I’ve stopped seeing results, that I was working for. So I decided to change my routine and try something completely new.

What did you like about the coaching?

Ah, Danielle is the best! She really cares! She helped us all to do more, push harder and get stronger. Knowing a thing or two about working out and fitness, I can definitely tell that this program was very well thought out and planned.  The lifting, the sprints, total body exercises – everything is very strategically planned to give you the best possible results!

What kind of change did you see in yourself mentally physically during the 8 weeks?

I’ve noticed a lot of changes in myself. Much stronger lifts, much better endurance and overall I fell in love with training all over again! The sessions are hard, but not so hard that you hate it…the complete opposite really, they are challenging and when you’re done you feel amazing!

Let us know you general thoughts and things that made the program work for you. What results did you achieve?

Overall I’m really happy I joined to program. I’ve lost 6 pounds, which is incredible! I’ve lost inches of my thighs, and waist and lost 2% body fat and I’m very happy about! I became leaner, stronger and happier.  I’m very thankful to Danielle for cheering us on along the way, she was always there for us and her encouragement really helped to push harder and get better. The whole program was amazing and fun; I loved every single day of it, even the days when we were all crawling out of the gym after leg training lol. And the dreaded sprints- oh I seriously miss them now!

What’s amazing about this program is that anyone can do it, any shape, weight or fitness level.

It was a great experience and I miss it already!

What’s your background?

I am a 29 year old “retired” female athlete. I played competitive sports throughout high school and played basketball in college. After playing, I never got into a fitness routine. 7 Years later I found myself in awful shape. I have tried everything from working out on my own to having a personal trainer to participating in crossfit. These 8 weeks are the longest routine I have had since I stopped playing sports. (10 weeks now!!)

What did you think of the workouts? How did they make you feel?

I like that the workouts are efficient and effective. You get in, work hard for an hour, and then you are done. Even though I attended the early 5:45am class, I had so much more energy during the day when I went.

Why did you want to make a change in your exercise routine?

I knew I needed to make a change. I was extremely unhappy with the way I looked and concerned with my health. I was also very motivated to lose weight for my wedding that’s coming up in August.

What did you like about the coaching?

I liked that Danielle was not only supportive and motivating but also had a sense of humor. I liked that she was sincerely excited with everyone’s progress. I (secretly) liked hearing the quotes at the end of each session.

I became more confident. I was able to push myself a little further each session.

The hardest part is getting started. Once you get through the first session it gets easier. The team mentality definitely makes it easier. You will make some amazing people who will help push you!

When you break it down it’s pretty amazing… I attended 24 sessions… So after 24 hours of working out and eating better over 8 weeks I lost:
19 pounds
1.5 inches off my bicep (didn’t even think that was possible)
4 inches off my hips
4 inches off my waist
2.5 inches off my chest
2 inches off my thigh
Lost 3 % Body Fat

This 8-week transformation program allows beginners like me to get back on track for a healthier lifestyle.  Anyone can do it.At almost 53, I was extremely nervous.I didn’t think I could even complete the warm up exercises.  I hadn’t participated in sports or exercised, aside from walking, for years.I grew frustrated simply watching my four kids do their sporting activities over past 20+ years while I sat on the sidelines wishing I had half their energy.  Sitting at a desk behind a computer working full-time during the week didn’t help either.  But I knew I had to start somewhere and sometime.  Trying to do it on my own wasn’t working.

In 8 weeks, I was able to lose 17 pounds and 13 inches simply by showing up at the gym for each session and doing what I was told to do.  I didn’t have to figure out what to do and for how long and that was nice.  Danielle, our coach, had a planfor us and the 8 weeks flew by. Workouts were always different, so you wouldn’t get bored and the hour would be over before you realized.  It was such a wonderful experience.  I can’t think of any negatives, only positives – higher energy levels throughout the day, feeling stronger, lost weight, lostinches, lower blood pressure.It’s a nice feeling knowing you are not being judged, just encouraged and supported each and every step of the way to do your best.  You never feel like you are doing it alone.  You have a team behind you in the coaching staff as well as the other participants and even though it is group training, the group is small and itfeels like personalized training due to the individualized attention you receive.If you work the program, the program works for you J
